Ways to give

Pledge Your Gift Today!

"Luke the Giraffe" is our Annual Fund mascot as his long neck represents the financial "stretch" St. Luke's encourages our families to make when deciding upon the amount of their Annual Fund donation. Since October the Annual Fund has continued to grow with support from faculty, staff, and current parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, alumni and friends.

Your participation in one of the following gift clubs will provide the momentum to carry us to our goal:
  • Head of School's Circle: $10,000 and above
  • Champions' Circle: $5,000 - $9,999
  • Trustees' Society: $2,500 - $4,999
  • Dr. Christopher J. Zielinski Director's Circle: $1,000 - $2,499
  • Crusaders' Club: $500 - $999
  • Blue and Gold Club: $200 - $499
  • Century Partners: $100 - $199
  • Patrons: $1 - $99

What is Annual Giving?
Annual giving, a yearly fundraising appeal, is an ongoing initiative in the school community, a priority that continues to provide our students with the educational opportunities they enjoy at St. Luke's Lutheran School. Every year we face the challenge to close the "tuition gap," which is the difference between tuition fees and the actual cost of the program. We make up the difference through Annual Fund giving thanks to the generosity and dedication of our parents, grandparents, faculty, alumni, trustees, alumni parents, friends and businesses in our community.

Why not just raise tuition?
If tuition were increased to cover actual educational expenses, some families could not afford to send their children to St. Luke's. Contributions to the Annual Fund enable the School to keep tuition affordable and still maintain high quality programs. Plus, your gift to the Annual Fund is fully tax-deductible, while tuition is not.

Why is participation in the Annual Fund important?
Participation in the Annual Fund is critical. Your gift, regardless of size, signifies your commitment and dedication to St. Luke's Lutheran School. Annual Fund participation statistics are routinely used by banks, foundations, and philanthropists as a gauge of the support which an institution enjoys from its community.

How much should I give?
Gifts range from $10 to more than $10,000. Only you can decide what amount is appropriate for your family. Our goal is to reach 100 percent participation from parents and to increase participation from alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, and friends. Every gift, no matter the amount, is important.

What about matching gifts?
You can easily double and sometimes triple your gift to St. Luke's with a matching gift from your employer. Please ask your company if they have a Matching Gifts program. If so, please bring the appropriate form to the Development Office and we'll take care of the rest.
